Kardashian's Know How to Dress

"Fashion is at once both caterpillar and butterfly. Be a caterpillar by day and a butterfly at night...there must be dresses that crawl and dresses that fly".    - Coco Chanel

This one shoulder dress from the K-Dash line on QVC, or as the girls refer to it during the airing as "The Kim Dress", is an essential in any wardrobe. Since this piece has a stunningly chic silhouette you can transform your look with a few additions that are already in your closet. Throw on with tights & booties, a blazer and heels, or dress up the look with fabulous statement jewelry-perhaps an armful of bangles or a necklace like this one?

SJP is Lovely on HSN

It seems SJP is everywhere. Not only is she heading up Halston, she also has extended her fragrance brand to the Home Shopping Network. I know the idea of buying fragrance without smelling it first might seem strange, but this strategy is catching like wildfire, with other celebs like Kate Walsh (more to come on this) and Mary J getting in on the action.

SJP has 2 fragrances available on HSN including Lovely and SJP NYC. I am thinking about picking up this cuff (with solid perfume) from her collection.

While SJP doesn't fly in for airings, her brand is able to speak for itself. Tune into HSN from 12-1p.m. EST to view these products live.

Galliano is right.....

"Fashion has become too sophisticated, too serious. Lighten up! You should enjoy it, like a good wine!"
- John Galliano

You have to visit his site and view the runway show for his Spring 2011 collection. Killah. (I know this isn't necessary in line with my other posts, but this is too chic to ignore)

I am going to start posting quotes from various fashion powerhouses that help me remember what fashion and style is all about, where we can gather inspiration from, and why we should never stop evolving....

Enjoy~

My new favorite leggings from Libby

Do you remember growing up wearing Sam & Libby ballet slippers with the big bows? I think I had them in every color (really wish they would make those again!). Well Libby has her own line on HSN, and it is killah.

Thank goodness for leggings.  I like to have a few pairs for lounging, and a few that I can dress up a bit. These leggings from Libby Edelman (2 pack) are perfection. I just received mine and cannot wait to wear them this weekend. I knew as soon as I slipped into them that the fit was flattering.

One pair has a fabulous zipper detail on the back, and the other pair almost feels like a faux suede. Available in black, camel, charcoal, purple & denim, I of course went for the black.  Did I mention they are on clearance?

Marc Bouwer on QVC

Marc Bouwer may be on of my new favorite American couture designers. He began his fashion career years ago working for Halston(that's right) & has developed his brand to be synonymous with the red carpet, dressing starlets including Angelina, Eva, Charlize & Heidi. Bouwer's work has appeared on the covers of our favorite Fashion mags, like Vogue & Harper's Bazaar.

His Spring 2011 Couture Collection is simply divine, with maxi dresses in electrifying prints popping up again and again throughout, as well as his signature "bathing suit dresses" (yep, they're ah-mazing). View his Spring 2011 collection here.

I of course would love to add a few of his Couture pieces to my own collection, but that may have to wait. For now, I will be perusing is exclusive collection for QVC. M by Marc Bouwer includes apparel, handbags, & accessories. Draping has been the trademark of his couture collections, and the same is true for his apparel available through QVC.

I love this Draped Knit Top in fuchsia, the draping on the sleeves is stunning.(I don't think this pic does this top justice) View the video from one of his recent airings and see it on the models, so cute with a pair of skinnies and booties.
                                                                  **via qvc.com**

Tune into QVC Thursday, January 20 @ 5-7 a.m. & February 1st 9-10 a.m. to see Marc live. I know my DVR is set.

The Golden Globes, Badgley Mischka, & Our Own Little Fairytale

Did you catch the Golden Globes last night? I have to say, Hollywood was looking quite fabulous. It seems that everyone is looking forward to a fresh start to 2011. As usual, there was a fair amount of black on the carpet (always chic of course), but I loved how stars like Angelina and Emma Stone surprised us with pops of color.

One of my favorites of the night was Carrie Underwood, who brought old school Hollywood glamour front & center with her dazzling
Badgley Mischka gown.

Other Mishcka mavens of the night included
Jane Krakowski, who looked fabulously chic showing off her baby bump.

Since most of us don't need more than a few devastatingly luxurious gowns (sad but true), Badgley Mischka has designed an entire collection the Home Shopping Network.
Shoes, jewels, handbags and ready-to-wear apparel compromise their exclusive collection for HSN.

I think we all deserve an infusion of fairytale into our everyday wardrobe. What do you think?

Creed: A Fragrance Dynasty

Having your own signature fragrance is just as important to your wardrobe as finding the perfect LBD. Enter Creed.

Creed fragrance is synonymous with luxury, royalty and Hollywood. Sold in stores like Neimans, Bloomingdales, or in their very own boutique in NYC, Creed only uses the most natural ingredients and meticulous production methods.

The Creed Dynasty was established in 1760 and was passed down from father to son. Based in Paris, it is one of the 100 oldest family businesses in the world. Creed offers an array of fragrances for both men and women to fit any season, climate or mood. (My personal favorite fragrance on a man is Green Irish Tweed).

                                                             *via www.shopnbc.com*

I was delighted to discover that ShopNBC offers several Creed Fragrances including Love in Black and Spring Flower (all of Creed's fragrances are mini works of art). If you don't quite know what scent fits your style, Creed samples, bundled into various collections such as Bridal Suite are available through Creed here.

Vince Camuto on HSN

It's official. I have a major crush. On Vince Camuto. He has been designing fabulous shoes for over 30 years.(He was a co-founder of Nine West Group Inc. and started his own line in 2001).

I am loving this peep toe bootie from his line for HSN.

                                                                    *via hsn.com*

He has a flashy website, is in department stores, but most exciting to me- he has taken his boots, wedges & heels to your living room via HSN.
